Another Fire Breaks Out at a Casino in Poipet

POIPET: Another fire broke out at a casino in Poipet at around 11:30 pm on Thursday, 2 March 2023, however, all residents were rescued on time by authorities.

Authorities spent over an hour controlling the fire, while staff and guests of the Diamond City Hotel got out safely.

The fire first broke out in the upper floor of the Diamond City Hotel, and the casino’s staff and guests all rushed out in a panic. Three firetrucks along with security forces arrived at the scene and worked with casino security to put the fire out. Authorities were able to bring the situation under control after over an hour.

Firefighters have confirmed that the fire began on the upper floors and spread freely from 11:30 pm to around 12:20 am. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and extent of the damage.
